About Me

Hi, I am Georgi Gilpin, an artist and craftswoman.

Making ceramics in my Totnes town centre studio is where I spend most of my time. I'm drawn to organic shapes, forms that let the clay speak. My tableware takes inspiration from maps, especially the contour lines that trace the land's rise and fall.

I possess a curious creative spirit, embrace the possibility of failure, and find joy in experimentation as an integral part of my artistic process. The not knowing is where the interesting things happen.

Living in Devon near the River Dart, I swim nearly every day, regardless of the weather. My partner and I have a cocker spaniel, which encourages us to spend a lot of time outdoors, walking, foraging and observing the shift in the seasons. Devon is home to me in the truest sense and that connection runs through everything I make.

I hold a BA Hons Degree in 3D Design from Brighton University, specialising in ceramics and metal.

If you would like to talk about my work, explore collaboration opportunities, commission a piece, or simply chat about creativity I’d love to hear from you.

Please feel free to get in touch with me here
